CHS Student to Attend PA Governor's School

Zoe Smith, a sophomore at Cocalico High School, has been accepted to attend the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Global & International Studies this summer.The four-week program will be held from June 19-July 14, 2017, and will be held at the University of Pittsburgh’s Global Studies Center. Zoe will participate in problem-solving activities and discussions with experts, language classes, and field trips to local Pittsburgh parter organizations.

To be accepted into the program, Zoe had to undergo an extensive and competitive application process. The selection panel reviewed her activities resume, academic transcript, teacher references, and essay on a current issue related to global studies.
