Holiday Weekend

The staff and administration of Cocalico School District wishes a safe holiday weekend to the Cocalico community! As a reminder, school will NOT be in session on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Cocalico Student Wins Card Contest

Congratulations to Gavin Forney, a 4th grader at Adamstown Elementary School for being named the grand prize winner in The Ephrata Review's annual greeting card contest. Gavin's creative design earned him a new bicycle, and his artwork was displayed on the cover of a recent edition of the newspaper. Way to go, Gavin!

Cocalico Eagle Wrestler Wins Historic Match

During the Bethlehem Holiday Wrestling Classic, CHS senior, Ben Fromm, made history by winning his 100th career match! He now joins only three other Eagle grapplers with 100 or more wins - Troy Burkholder (102); Chong Moua (109); and Steve Fittery (139). Congratulations to Ben! The Cocalico community is proud of your accomplishments!

Winter Recess is Near...

Please remember all district buildings and the administration office will be closed from Friday, December 22, 2017 through Monday, January 1, 2018. Classes will resume on January 2. The staff and administration of Cocalico School District would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!

Musicians Excel at Auditions

Congratulations to the following Cocalico High School students who successfully auditioned for the 2018 District 7 Band Festival: Joshua Koch, clarinet; Colby Martin, baritone; Juliana Martin, clarinet; and William Meckley, alto saxophone. These students will play alongside 120 other area musicians on January 12 &13, 2018 at Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. 

Kick Off to the CHS MiniThon!

 This week, the students and staff at Cocalico High School showed their excitement for this year's MiniTHON! The kick-off festivities included a staff-student dodgeball game, a human sundae, and much more! The CHS MiniTHON is scheduled for Saturday, February 24 from 4:00-10:00pm. All proceeds benefit the Penn State Children's Hospital and the Four Diamonds fund.  

A Night to Honor a Wonderful Local Woman

On November 28, Carol Stark, an Akron resident and life-long humanitarian dedicated to helping young people in the community, was recognized for her work at an event held at Eagle Stadium. The celebration was televised for an upcoming episode of Mike Rowe's "Returning the Favor" and will be broadcast in February on Facebook. More details on the surprises bestowed on Carol and her newly-formed Carol Stark Foundation will be revealed after the episode airs.

Thank you, Carol, for inspiring and supporting learning for every child, every chance, every day!

Get Into the Holiday Spirit...

Join us for the last concert tonight - Tuesday, December 12 - at 7:00pm at Denver Elementary!

STAR Students at Reamstown Elementary

Recently, students involved in the STAR Club at Reamstown created several table centerpieces for the upcoming free Denver & Ephrata Community Thanksgiving Dinner. In the Spirit of Thanksgiving...

The students and staff at Adamstown Elementary gave thanks to their support staff during a brief assembly. Appreciation letters were read by students, and small tokens of thanks were given to paraprofessionals, custodians, food service workers, and others. Thank you to all who inspire and support learning for every child, every chance, every day.
